About our Card Blanks

All our card blanks are exclusive, manufactured from quality boards specifically designed for print and greeting card manufacture, they are only available from this web site or our retail outlet in Basildon!

Manufacture process

All our card blanks are die cut using a Heidelberg Platen(shown left), they are NOT mechanically scored, die cutting ensures each card is perfectly cut and scored, making each one exactly like the last, we also take great care to ensure that texture and grain follow suit throughout each card blank range, the important point being, creasing or scoring the cards parallel to the grain direction ensures a crisp and smooth fold, other benefits are decreased warping or curling of the cards and an increase in upright rigidity!

Limed range - available in ivory or white, this card has a light embossed effect akin to the cloth felt, widely used throughout the UK by commercial greeting card and stationery manufacturers. Can be used in inkjet or laser printers (HP manufactured printers experience difficulties, please obtain a sample before purchase) also suitable for lithography, letterpress, silk screen and foil blocking. Splendor Smooth - Made with the latest chemistry to ensure optimal ink adhesion, this board is ultra smooth, available in ivory or extra white and is also Elemental Chlorine-Free (ECF) Can be used in inkjet or laser printers (HP manufactured printers experience difficulties, please obtain a sample before purchase) also suitable for lithography, letterpress, silk screen and foil blocking. Silkweave - available in cream or white, this card has a Linen embossed texture to the face side and is smooth on the inside making it idea for inkjet or laser printing. Peregrina - has a single side pearlescent coating with an extremely fine wove texture, the uncoated side is smooth white, Can be used in inkjet or laser printers however a sample should be obtained for trials prior to placing an order. Also suitable for lithography, letterpress, silk screen and foil blocking.

Colorplan - recognised in the print industry as the highest quality coloured paper and card available, it’s crisp feel and vivid colour instantly gives any project a quality look and feel. Can be used in inkjet or laser printers however a sample should be obtained for trials prior to placing an order.

Pastels - trade name ‘Accent Antique’ this card has a light embossed effect akin to the cloth felt, at 300 gsm it’s a little on the heavy side for inkjet or laser printing, this then lends it more suitable for a craft card, e.g. decoration with embellishments, etc.
