Brighten up the inside of your cards

Hi to all at Kookykards,

My name is Liz and I have a worthwile project for card making.

The inside of a card, which I feel, is just as important as the outside. It is nearly always a let down for the receiver when all they see, for example, is 'Happy Birthday' and 'with love from ---- .

This is what I do:-

Most people have access to a computer. I find ,or make up, a nice verse, proverb, saying or phrase.

Type this into my computer. At this stage I can add any appropiate small image/clip art such as a flower etc.

Then print out onto vellum or any other non-absorbant paper. This is very important because if ordinary paper is used the ink will dry far too quickly and I will not be able to emboss.

Before the ink dries, I sprinkle embossing powder and heat to raise the images. If I've only used a verse I decorate with small embellishments.

Finally I carefully fold the vellum in half and stick it to the inside of the card.

Hey presto! How much more interesting this makes my card look!

Thanks Liz, What a great idea, we had a go and got some great effects, Jacque
